Ok everyone, I need your help again, but this time I just need your votes. One of my best friends, Casey, and her fiance, Dan, are applying to be social media interns at The Resort at Isla Palenque, a private jungle island off the coast of Panama. I know most of you have no idea who they are, but that’s ok. I can vouch for their awesomeness. I’ve told you a little about them in Loves of my Life and Getting Tanked on Spring Break, but here’s a little bit more. Dan is a senior at UNC Wilmington studying environmental science, and he’s interested in green business practices. He loves adventure and travel just as much as Casey, and he’s probably the nicest and most generous guy I’ve ever met. It’s easy to see how much he loves his lady, and the two are such a cute and perfect pair it’s ridiculous. They do everything together, from skydiving to getting lost on Ecuadorian mountains to making their own wedding invitations until 3 a.m., and they do it all smiling and giggling the whole time.

But if their cuteness and my love for them isn’t enough to make you vote, how about this: The internship will take them all expenses paid to Isla Palenque for four to six weeks where they’ll explore the mostly undiscovered island and share their experiences with the world through photography, video and social media (blogging, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) They would be the perfect interns because they are great resources for all things travel, their personalities are so inviting, personable and entertaining you can’t help but want to keep up with them and their stories, and they already blog and tweet together (follow them on Twitter at @acruisingcouple), particularly about their adventures. Speaking of, they’ve been to a combined 18 countries across 6 continents for a total of 2 years abroad. And let me point out that they’ve accomplished all of that as college students, so you know they went everywhere and did everything on the cheap. Pretty impressive, huh? I know by now you’re dying to vote for them, so here’s what I need you all to do:

1. Go to their Isla Palenque video application page here.

2. Watch their application video. (To save time, you don’t have to watch it to be able to vote, but trust me, you want to watch the video.)

3. Click the thumbs up icon above the video, make sure your vote registers (the vote count will increase by 1), and you’re done!

Voting is open until April 11, but please, please, please vote ASAP to get them an early lead! And if you have a spare minute or two, please join the campaign and send this post/their blog/their video application page around to your friends and family.
